Welcome to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s crime mapping program.

Information regarding criminal activity is a valuable tool that residents can use to help protect themselves and their property. Free for citizens to use, this new crime mapping service empowers the community by putting valuable public safety information at your fingertips. With just a few simple keystrokes, computer users can view individual crimes plotted on a map within a specified date range, sorted by 14 different offense categories. Users also can view crimes occurring in the vicinity of a specific address, plot the distance between a crime and any address of interest and can also register to receive e-mail crime alerts when a new crime is reported in your neighborhood.

Offenses within the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s jurisdiction (unincorporated Volusia County plus the cities of Deltona, DeBary and Pierson) are mapped on a daily basis. In addition, offenses in any other city that utilizes the service can be viewed on the map. Incidents are classified based on the following offense categories:

Sex crimes are not plotted on the crime map and cannot be viewed with this program in order to protect the privacy of sex offense victims. However, the Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to click here to access information regarding local sex offenders and predators.

Remember: staying informed is one of your best tools for preventing victimization. Working together, we can all help take a bite out of crime!
